Kailee and Laura Rock at the State Meet!

Kailee and Laura really represented the team well at the State Meet today.  I'm so proud of their efforts for first time competitors at this level.  Kailee placed 16th in a time of 19:35.5 and Laura was 39th in a time of 20:12, three seconds off her PB.  Both girls ran excellent races, getting out strong and staying close together through the first mile.  They finished 2nd and 4th for our Section, which is historically very strong.  We are very proud of them and offer a huge CONGRATULATIONS to Kailee and Laura!

Reminder that Monday evening at 6:15 p.m. we will have our POTLUCK banquet at the BEAR CAVE INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL cafeteria.  Please bring a dish to share.  We will provide the plates, silverware, lemonade and water.

I was asked by Principal Sheila McNeil to mention that we should go directly to the cafeteria and not be on the stairs and roaming the building.  We are the first group to use the facility and "she will track me down" if it is not left in good order!  The front and back doors will both be open and the cafeteria is directly to the east once you enter.  Tiger Time children will be there  until 6 p.m. and the building closes at 8 p.m so we will be wrapped up by that time!  I hope to see you all there!

Thanks for a great season and all the support you

have shown to the athletes and coaches.  It is felt and appreciated!

P.S.  Mr. Orvis will be bringing the sweat pants that some of you had ordered so plan to pick those up and make payment if you have not done so already.  Also, any uniforms, sweats, and warm ups that have not been turned in, please plan to bring those in a bag that has your name and article numbers attached on a piece of paper.  Thanks in advance!

Finally, this year we had Scott Gulbranson take a Varsity Poster Picture (see below) and he offers it for sale for $20 for anyone interested in purchasing one. Please let me know if you are interested and I will give him the total count.
