Kailee and Laura Head to STATE!

This is a little delayed, but the news is just as exciting, KAILEE AND LAURA ARE GOING TO STATE!   Hard work and determination have paid off and we are all excited to see them participate at the state meet next Saturday, November 5th at St. Olaf in Northfield.  The ladies will compete in the morning session this year at 11:00 a.m.  It looks to be a cool and sunny day as of today.

The Section meet was full of emotion as things played out in unpredictable fashion for the girls team.  They ended up tied for 2nd and lost the tiebreaker for a third place finish.  We are so thankful we have two representing us at state (KAILEE & LAURA!) and nearly three, with Isabel missing advancement by 1 place!  The ladies ran with heart and soul and had several near PB races amongst them.

The boys ran well and had several near PB performances.  Isaiah led the way in an effort to get back to state but it wasn't meant to be this year.  More heartache for the Tigers.  His teammates ran well and Christopher wound up with the final PB of the season dropping 7 seconds.  Well done!  They moved up from 11th last year to 10th!  It was a good, growing season for the boys.  Next year, they'll still be predominantly "young" and will continue to make a name for themselves.

The banquet has been set for a week from Monday, November 7th at 6:15 p.m. at Bear Cave Intermediate School cafeteria.  POTLUCK is back on the menu by popular demand!  Your kids love your home cooking and LOVE the potlucks so we are going to oblige them.  They've worked hard for it!  The building closes at 8 p.m. so we will scoot things along to stay on pace to finish at that time.

Thanks to everyone for their AWESOME help at the concession stand for the many football games.  Mr. and Mrs. Orvis did a great job coordinating the efforts!  We're done for 2016!!

All runners, please bag your CLEAN uniform items, put in a bag with a PAPER ON THE OUTSIDE listing the numbers on each item.  You can bring them to my room.  Also, a few watches are still out.  Parents, they are lime green  or pink so if you could help your runner get them back to me, should one be spotted.  Thanks!

See you @ State and the banquet!

Coach T.
