Girls Win the Big Cookie and This Weeks Events

Last Thursday was a fun day for the girls' varsity as they brought home the "big" cookie from St. Charles.  They ended up winning the meet with 22 points as well and had our top 6 runners in the top 11 finishers.  Good running!

The boys placed sixth out of 10 schools and were led by Isaiah Scruggs and Alex Lawrence.  The boys junior high came in second place to a strong LaCresent team with 51 points.  They really packed together nicely coming in 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 18th.  Way to go guys!  The results are at the link in 2017 Results.  The team had many PB's top to bottom; way to go!!  Let's keep working hard as we start to see the end of the season in sight!

This week we run at Chatfield on Tuesday the schedule is as follows and the teams competing are:

4 p.m. Elementary 1,600 (open to all schools)
4:15 p.m. Coaches’ meeting by the clubhouse
4:30 p.m. Junior high boys and girls’ 3,200m
5:00 p.m. Varsity and JV boys’ 5,000m
5:45 p.m. Varsity and JV girls’ 5,000m

On Thursday we run at Lewiston and that meet information is:

4:15 Elementary (Lewiston – Altura / Rushford – Peterson only) 1000   meters

4:30 Junior High Girls and Boys                               3200 meters

5:00 Varsity Boys/JV Boys                                       5000 meters

5:35 Varsity Girls/JV Girls                                        5000 meters

Following the Lewiston meet we will go to our former assistant coach's house, Coach Ihrke, and have pizza before returning home.  We should be home before 9 p.m.  If you want, you may still sign out your son/daughter to take them home with you from the meet.  Please stay until after the awards if you do.
