Final Wednesday CC Session!

Another good turnout for our final session at McHenry's today!  We did our plyometric drills and movement drills.  We also ran a couple miles, with hill!, and did some stretches.  This is something that all runners need to continue doing from now until the first day of practice on August 11.

The important dates to mark on your calendars are as follows:
August 4 - 8, Captain's practice with Lauren and James from 4:30 to 5:30. Meet at the Middle School doors.

Practice starts on August 11 at 9:30 til 11:30.  The first week M, T, W and F will be that time.  Thursday, 8/14 we are trying for a pool practice from 3:30 to 5:00. This will be confirmed.

Wednesday, August 20, we will all travel to Eagle Bluff for a group challenge course followed by lunch and then the high ropes course til 4 p.m.for team bonding.  Cost to runners $15.  The Boosters will pick up the other half of your cost. Departure time will be set later but plan for an early departure (7 or 8 a.m.)

Monday, August 25 will be our last a.m. practice.  That evening we will also meet at Heather's house for a team dinner before our home invitational on Thursday, 8/28.  Sue Lofgren will be contacting you about volunteer help that we will need for the home meet.

On Tuesday, August 26, we will begin practice after teacher workshops. Definite time will be posted later but it will be afternoon.  This will continue through that week.  Thursday, August 28 is our first meet, at Bear Cave Park, The Stewartville "Bill Glomski" Invitational.

Continue to run on your own or phone a friend to take with you.  Also, do situps and pushups as basic conditioning as well as other stretches as needed.
